Mike from the Fresh Air VW Club and Facebook.
Thought you might want to put my ‘70 Bug on your website.
The car was completely rebuilt mechanically by myself except for the engine which includes four wheel disc brakes, Billstien shocks, bigger front and added rear sway bar, a rear Kaifer bar setup, chrome moly cv shafts, a 1700lb Kennedy stage 2 clutch, and a mid trans mount setup along with my highly modified 1776 engine an old friend of mine and I built with dual 40mm IDF Spanish Webers, a lightened flywheel, a counter weighted crankshaft, balanced rotating assembly, a type 4 oil cooler conversion, forged, coated AA pistons, new big valve, dual spring Autolinea heads with ratio rockers, a 110 Engle cam, a Magnaspark distributor and coil, 9MM stainless fuel lines 3lb Carter electric fuel pump, 100 amp alternator conversion, a CB Performance serpentine belt system along with a full-flowed case and a 1 1/2 qt sump and remote oil filter.
The interior has new seat upholstery and a freshened dash, door panels and rebuilt window mechanisms, a Gene Berg shifter, remote radio/ media player with amp and a couple of other cool pieces as well.
I left the outside of the car with the patina I eventually fell in love with!
Love your website and I’ve actually learned a few things in your videos that I didn’t already know…..or maybe I just forgot ! 🤣
THANKS and take care!
