Hi I’m Kelli, and this is Bettie my 1973 Super Beetle. A little history on me and VW Bugs. I bought a 1979 Super Beetle as my first car and drove it during my college years. I sold it to a gentleman after graduation, that removed the body to part out and used the chassis for a dune buggy. Ever since I sold my ’79. I wanted another one. About 2 years ago my husband and I started looking for a Super Beetle. After my dead ends and looked at many bugs from all over the USA, this bright black ’73 Super Beetle with ivory interior showed up on FB marketplace. Approx. 12 years ago the owner had new floors, trunk, head assembly, and fenders with body off restoration done. The finish is Audi pure black, the interior and engine are original and in great condition. The owner drove it for 5 years, then parked it in a barn for an additional 5-6 years. It took 7 months of negotiation to get this car but it was worth it. I plan on driving it daily and storing it in the winter months.
